When Im going to use tools like the pencil, or the brush Im only able to see the outline color (the one that is selected in layer properties) (Im new to this

At the bottom of the tools palette there should be two colored squares. The first one lets you pick a line color (for things like pencil tool and outline of shapes). The second lets you pick a fill color (for filled shapes and the paintbrush).

I currently use final cut express and want to add some effects.. I know you can make really awesome effects using after effects..
so what i really need to know is will the 2 programs work together, or do you have to use Adobe premiere to work with after effects??
or is there an apple product that will do the same as after effects??
No you do not need Adobe. I use Final Cut Express and AE works fine with this.

I want to learn how to do basic things on Adobe photoshop CS2? For example, how can I draw basic things like lines, squares, circles, and shapes? (also cut, paste, etc) What are some tips that will save me a lot of time, and what are some common mistakes and things to avoid? And how can I learn how to use layers properly? Keep in mind that the only drawing software I know how to use is the old "mspaint" on windows.
There is a book brought out by Adobe called "Classroom in a book". Great advice and you’ll really learn something. Stay away from books "For Dummies". They talk down to you and are not helpful at all.
Photoshop is a vast program. Just explore it and ‘play’ with it. You can’t ruin anything especially if you use the SAVE AS button, and rename the file. (Your original stays unedited that way, waiting until you become an expert!)
adobe flash player is no longer supported on windows 98. Is there an alternative that I can download?

I just reinstalled windows 98 on an old machine and when I try to install adobe flash player Im told it is no longer supported. When I try to view certain things it tells me to install the flash and java to view them. How do I view them? Is there an alternative to the adobe flash player that works on windows 98?

Adobe Illustrator wont export PMS colors if used inside gradients. How can this be fixed?

I am sending art to a vendor and I need it in 4 color process plus 2 spot colors. The 2 spot colors are used in the gradient backgrounds. I do not want these to be process. When I open the PDF of the artwork in Acrobat the output only shows the 4 colors. Anyone know how I can get the separations to show 6 colors out of Illustrator? Thanks!
Are you sure you selected swatches from PMS-CV or -CVU. Adobe also comes with PMS-Process. The prefab gradients are Process in the Swatch window. You have to load swatch libraries.
Also, when you separate (in Illustrator), there is a Checkbox for Convert PMS to Process. Uncheck that.
There is an option in Swatches to Remove all unused colors. That tells a story onto itself. There is PMS black and spot black.
I’m not sure if PDF will preserve spot or PMS. PDF defaults as RGB, and furthermore artifacts stray widows. When you proof the negatives, look directly in the center of the page looking for a misplaced widow from the last edited paragraph.
Believe me, I am a former pre-press. I had to re-do artwork all the time.

Why does Photobucket say I have 3 Remixes, but I only have one? I did revise my Remix twice, so maybe that’s why??
Yes, when you revise a Remix Photobucket keeps a copy of all of your original, even if you choose to overwrite the original instead of saving a new copy. 1 original + 2 revisions = 3 remixes.

If you never used it, you may want to start with Elements. Any of the standard versions have a steeper learning curve.
Is Adobe going to make a premiere elements that is compatible with mac?
